Emily Percifull is the Associate Director of Recruitment for the specialized master's programs with the W. P. Carey School of Business. Born and raised in South Bend, Indiana, she graduated from Indiana University with a bachelor's degree in education and Purdue University with a master's degree in higher education. She has worked in education for over ten years and looks forward to using her skills to help students reach their goals. Additionally, she enjoys trying new hobbies, most recently cross-stitching and hiking, and going to Farmer's Markets on the weekends.

Joan Church is a Program Coordinator for the MS-BA Tempe program. An Arizona native, she holds a Master’s in Education from Arizona State University. Joan taught in the secondary public school systems of Arizona and Hawaii before transitioning to higher education. She also has prior experience working at the Phoenix Zoo, reflecting her love for animals. Joan is passionate about student success and enjoys her role at W.P. Carey. Outside of work, she enjoys movies, board games, traveling, and spending time with her dog.

Ernestina Taleb is a Program Coordinator for the MS-BA Tempe program. She was born in Tucson, Arizona and has lived all over the world. In her humble opinion, she believes Arizona has some of the most beautiful sunsets (and delicious food)! Ernestina’s background in higher education includes working with international students as well as with international law exchange programs at the James E. Rogers College of Law at the University of Arizona. Before entering the higher education field, she taught English in Nanjing, China. In her spare time, Ernestina enjoys spending time with friends and family and traveling.

Karla Lee is an Associate Director, overseeing all platforms of MS-BA, MS-ISM, MS-AIB, MS-EI, and MS-MKT specialized master's programs. She is originally from California and moved to Arizona in 2013 to work at ASU after spending a couple years in Washington, D.C. Prior to joining the W. P. Carey School of Business, Karla managed education centers and competitive gymnastics facilities in Silicon Valley. She holds a BA in Education, an MA in Psychology, and an MS in Organizational Leadership, and loves working in higher education.

Faculty Directors

Brett Duarte - Dr. Brett Duarte is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Supply Chain Management, and the Co-Faculty Director for the Business Analytics Program. He received his PhD in Industrial Engineering from Arizona State University and worked for the IBM corporation for 12 years. His research interests are in Lean Six Sigma, Quality Management, Simulation and Optimization of Supply chains. He is an avid tennis fan (Go Roger!) and loves playing soccer and racketball.

Geoffrey Pofahl – Dr. Geoff Pofahl is a Clinical Assistant Professor who brings significant industry experience to the classroom in the areas of Data Science and Machine Learning. His industry experience included leadership roles at two small, fast-paced, software companies serving the retail price optimization space as well as several years as a Senior/Principal Data Scientist with IBM. Prior to his work in industry, Geoff taught various analytics and Applied Econometrics courses at both ASU and Michigan State University. He received his Ph.D. from Texas A&M University with special emphasis in the areas of Applied Econometrics and Industrial Organization.
