Explore the global intersections of business, culture and politics and broaden your exposure to business concepts in locations around the world.
Participating in an international elective will enhance your MBA experience. This will help increase your competitiveness in the job market by exposing you to international business practices, and cultural diversity, as well as providing you the opportunity to network with students from across multiple MBA platforms.
Note: Participation in an international elective program will apply towards completion of a concentration in International Business.
GPO Global Immersion Scholarship – New!
The W. P. Carey Graduate Programs Office is excited to announce the Global Immersion Scholarship (up to $3000) to help offset the additional cost of the course. All eligible WPC graduate students are encouraged to apply! Preference will be given to students with demonstrated financial need, as per the FAFSA.
To be considered for the scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:
- Currently enrolled in the W. P. Carey Online MBA, Evening MBA, or Fast-track MBA program
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- In good academic and professional standing
- Have a completed FAFSA on file (U.S. domestic and permanent resident students)
- Submit this scholarship application by the deadline
- Not have been awarded a WPC Global Immersion scholarship previously
- Have a completed GEO program application on file
Scholarship Application Deadlines (Must have completed GEO program application on file):
- Priority Deadline for Winter Programs: August 25
- Final Deadline for Winter Programs: September 25
- Priority Deadline for Spring Break Programs: October 15
- Final Deadline for Spring Break Programs: November 15
- Priority Deadline for Post-Spring Programs: December 31
- Final Deadline for Post-Spring Programs: January 31
MBA Doing Business in Taiwan!
(3 credits) December 13 - December 21, 2025
This program is designed to empower MBA students across all concentrations to enhance their international business expertise. Through collaboration and practical application of learned skills, students will tackle real-world challenges faced by selected companies. This global immersion course will take place during Winter Break 2025 in Taipei, Taiwan. Students will engage in company visits and participate in enriching cultural activities, fostering a deeper understanding of global business environments. This program incorporates company visits that will benefit from the combination of various skill sets and concentrations within the W. P. Carey Full-Time, Evening, and Online MBA programs.
Eligibility Requirements
W. P. Carey graduate students, in good academic and professional standing, with minimum 3.0 GPA.
